Freehand Quilting

Here are a couple of photos of a quilt I completed recently. This is the back of the quilt with some freehand feather designs and my own original scrollwork.

You are such a source of inspiration for me. Love your quilting, I was wondering do you have a stitch regulator? If so do you use it all the time?

Thanks Janet. No I don't have a stitch-regulator. When I bought my machine I didn't have the budget for it, so I learned to do without. But, I am saving up to retrofit my machine, or purchase a new one with a stitch-regulator. It would help with all the SID, ruler work, and outline quilting I do. I burn out a lot of switches now because I have to stop and start a lot to do the kind of quilting I do.

Thanks Kathy, Barb & Julia. My quilting has changed a lot over the years. Practice, practice, practice as they say, and I'm still practicing!
